Jesus Christ Superstar
Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock opera by Tim Rice and Andew Lloyd Webber. It highlights the political and interpersonal struggles of Judas Iscariot and Jesus. The rock opera is based on the gospels’ accounts of the last week of Jesus’ life, beginning with Jesus and his followers arriving in Jerusalem and ending with the Crucifixion. Twentieth-century attitudes and sensibilities as well as contemporary slang pervade the lyrics, and ironic allusions to modern life are scattered throughout the political depiction of the events. This performance was in the role of Judas. An earlier performance in 2004 was in the role of Jesus.

Pirates dressed as rabbits, cops dressed as women, and a lifeguard with pants that are much too tight for him. The comic opera ran for several dozens of shows in venues across the north of the Netherlands.
